Raymond Mill Application
Raymond mill is mainly applied to the powder processing of mineral products in industries of metallurgy, construction, chemistry, and mining etc. It can produce powder from more than 280 kinds of non-flammable and non-explosive mineral materials with Mohs hardness below 7 and humidity below 6%, such as barite, limestone, quartz, calcite, granite, porcelain clay, basalt, gypsum etc. The final size of raymond mill is between 613 micron and 440 micron(0.613mm—0.044mm).

Raymond Mill Working Principle
The working principle of raymond mill is as follows:
Firstly, raw material is crushed by jaw crusher to the size raymond mill required, then the crushed materials are elevated into a hopper from which the material is transported through the electro-magnetic vibrating feeder, evenly and continuously into the grinding chamber for powder-processing. The rollers oscillate outward to press the ring because of the centrifugal force and the shovel scoops up the materials, send to the middle between ring and roller to accomplish the grind.
After this, the ground stuffs are carried by the air from the blower into the separator for screening. The fine powers are blow into the cyclone collector and are poured out through the output-powder valve as the final products and the rough stuff after the screening will be recycled back into the grinding chamber for regrinding. The set’s airflow system is closely sealed up and circulated under condition of negative and positive pressure.

Raymond Mill Maintenance
- There must be someone that shall be specifically responsible for operation and maintenance of control cabinet of raymond mill.
- Regular check the cabinet, maintain meter display clear and bright, keep operating handle movement keep contactors and the Master electric shock without the dust.
- Regular check whether all components and connectors of raymond mill are loose or damaged.
- Every six months telemetry insulation resistance. Once discover problems, timely deal with them.

The Repair And Maintenance Of Raymond Mill
- During the application of the raymond mill, some personnel shall be arranged to take responsibility of management. The operators must be qualified with the required technical knowledge. Before the installation of the grinding mill, the persons related to the operation should receive technical training and fully understand the operating principle, performance and regulations of the raymond mill.
- In order to guarantee the raymond mill in a normal working state, a Safety Operation System for the Maintenance of the equipment must be established. Only in this way can this grinding mill be guaranteed to have a long-term and safe operation. Meanwhile, it is necessary to have the required repairing tools, lubricant and grease, spare parts and accessories.
- After some period of running, the raymond mill should receive an examination and repairing. The components vulnerable to worn out, such as grinding roller, grinding ring, relieving tool etc. should be repaired or replaced. Before and after the operation, a careful examination should be carried out for the connecting screws, bolts and nuts on the grinding rollers so as to find whether they are loose or sufficiently lubricated.
- When their application time surpassing about 500 hours, all the rolling bearings in the roller sleeves must be cleaned, and the damaged parts should be replaced. The oiling tool can be either a manual oiling pump or grease gun.
